So, for Acting for the Camera, I had to write a biography for my character, Elise McCallum. And I really kinda liked the last paragraph: “Elise is hard-working, career-oriented, but she’s still got a romantic side that wants desperately to be loved. She feels that Free Fallin’ was written about her. She uses pinterest to gather images of her dream home. She uses the word “dream” at least once a day. She prefers curls over straight locks. She loves when Logan puts his hand on the curve of her waist. Her playlists on iTunes are named for what she does when she listens to them, like “Ben & Jerry’s and Self-Pity.” She dreams of returning to Montmartre, but hopefully with a boyfriend (Logan) at her side. She watches stupid, girly movies, follows trends, and blogs like it’s nobody’s business. If she could, she would shout her love story from the rooftops, but she’s confined by the unspoken social rules of what’s “normal” and appropriate. She’s committed to giving herself a happy future, but she believes that one of the best ways to do that is by investing in the happiness of others.” I can’t wait to play her. I wish I could be her.
